Swearing Issue

Postby Sand » Sun Jan 13, 2013 12:33 pm

Ive got warned for swearing twice now and I didn't say anything wrong.
Qazar said that it might be that there's a swear word but in two different words.
It's really strange so you might want to look into the filter :)

If you don't think a phrase should have been filtered, it helps us work out why it's been filtered if you post what you tried to say when the message came up.

"It must feel great to work hard and then for kids to appreciate it"

Interesting, I typed that in and it didn't give me the swear warning.

I cant of said that exactly then, so next time im online ill investigate by rephrasing it slightly. It was along those lines so only one or two words i said differently.

I think I know what the main problem is... Like Qazar said that some words have rude words within them, which are filtered. Should I PM you any words that come up as "rude" or should I just post them here because ive found a few already?? :)

You can PM them to me, as I edit the filters currently so that's probably easiest. Also check they get through the forum filters once you've sent them as otherwise it makes it harder to tell what the words are.

Thank you for the pm, I can see why those are filtered. I'll sort it out when I next update the filters.
