Design PowerPoint (Blog)

Postby Alex Eskimo » Sat Feb 09, 2013 2:05 pm

You probably already know from the forums that I'm a designer. I make most of my drawings on Microsoft PowerPoint. You can read about my adventures on my blog:

You're all invited. Please send feedback! Also, feel free to ask questions in the comments and to request topics for me to post. :D

I really like your blog and here's why...

1) It's incredibly unique. I love the fact that you created this blog to showcase your designs and use Powerpoint (a not so well known design program) to create your graphics and designs. I feel like this website can inspire others to try the program and get more familiar with design. It's brilliant.

2) I think it is super cool how you cover a variety of topics. It is a great idea to publicize your ideas and creations with the Club Penguin and Kingdom Island game. What you post about is really clever, and it actually really fun to read about. I'd much rather read a blog like yours than a boring, club penguin blog posting every single update.

3) I just want to tell you that you have a great future ahead of you. The room maps that you continue to edit throughout the years is simply incredible. You blow my mind with how accurate and professional the pictures look. Not only that, but all the clothing designs you posted for the contests are just brilliant!

Please keep up the incredible work on your blog, and I would say to keep improving your designs, but no kid your age would be able to top what you are capable of. Just simply great!

Duder :)

DRAWING TUTORIAL

Postby Alex Eskimo » Fri Feb 15, 2013 7:31 am

Many of you may be happy to know that the drawing tutorial is back up and running over at...

http://www.designpowerpoint.blogspot.com/

Click on the Basics Tutorial tab to see the new and improved tutorial. Go check it out and learn how to draw on PowerPoint.

Remember that all drawing techniques learned in PowerPoint 2003 are transferable into other drawing programs. Also, the drawings themselves can be exported into other programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash.

Wow! This is very awesome! I love the fact that you create your designs on Microsoft PowerPoint. That kind of makes it easier for starters to learn on your tutorials instead of something very difficult like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator! Very unique! :D

I agree with Kane! I think Illustrator and Photoshop are very difficult to understand. Microsoft PowerPoint is a unique way to create/edit images! :D

the only reason I ever stopped using the program was because I had to start using vectors and higher quality saving.
I explain this in my blog http://alejandroronaydesigns.blogspot.com/

by the way, if you ever need to expand I have a video on there of how I drew a bear using the program I have now.

Qazar... you're amazing at this. I love the bird and the teddy you made they're so adorable and I like the style! I use photoshop to try (keyword "try") to make things, but I'm not as experienced as you or alex eskimo. Think you guys could give me any tips?

Qazar....I don't know what to say. You are very amazing at what you do. At what you both do. You and Alex Eskimo are just magnificent! I can't hardly do what you guys do. I actually use Illustrator to make my stuff. Even if it's just for logo making and stuff. I use it for everything. And I would have to say that that's amazing if you used PowerPoint for those things! That is so amazing! I love it! :D
